Are you at risk for a heart attack?
ABOUT CCTA
Coronary Computed Tomography Angiography (CCTA) is a noninvasive imaging study that, through the injection of contrast dye via an IV in your arm vein, identifies plaque, narrowing, or blockages in the coronary arteries. This advanced procedure employs a series of X-rays to produce detailed 3D images of your heart and coronary arteries, generating images previously only attainable through invasive heart catheterization.
To enhance image quality, medications such as beta blockers and nitroglycerin may be administered before the study. CCTA not only assesses your risk for a heart attack but also provides comprehensive details about your heart structure and its pumping function. Within approximately a day, a comprehensive report detailing your heart health will be made available to you.
